Liverpool youngster Bobby Clark has left Liverpool to join RB Salzburg in a reported £10million deal.

The Austrian club are managed by Jurgen Klopp’s former assistant at Anfield Pep Lijnders.

Clark, 19, who is the son of former Newcastle player Lee Clark, has signed a long-term deal with Salzburg.

The midfielder was signed by Liverpool in 2021 from the Magpies, having spent his early youth career at Birmingham City.

He said on social media: “After an incredible three years at Liverpool FC, I’ve decided it’s time for a new challenge.

“I’ve learned so much during my time at the club and [I] am very thankful for the opportunities and experiences I’ve had. Thank you to all the fans who supported me on this journey.”

Clark made 14 appearances for the Reds, with the majority of those coming last season.

He scored his first and only goal for the Merseyside outfit in a 6-1 Europa League win over Sparta Prague.

The teenager came on as a substitue in the League Cup final against Chelsea, which Liverpool won 1-0 in extra-time.

Clark is not the only youngster set to depart in the coming days, with defender Sepp van den Berg close to joining Brentford.

The Bees also signed Fabio Carvalho from the Anfield club for a £27.5m fee.
