The champions have lost six in a row, most recently falling to Liverpool for Anfield.

But there is added motivation for Forest in this match.

A win will take them above Pep Guardiola’s side and further put the pressure on the Spanish boss.

There is some great news for Manchester City fans as a certain Belgium midfielder returns to the line-up.

Stefan Ortega remains in goal ahead of Ederson, with a back three of Josko Gvardiol, Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias.

Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish will provide width for the champions, while Ilkay Gundogan and Manuel Akanji play as holding midfielders.

Kevin de Bruyne is back and starts alongside Bernardo Silva.

And Erling Haaland is the main man up front.

For Nottingham Forest, it is a similar line-up to what Nuno Espirito Santo has deployed in recent weeks.

Matz Sels is in goal, and it is a back four of Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo and  Alex Moreno.

A defensive pivot of Ryan Yates and Nicolas Dominguez has been deployed by Nuno.

Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Jota Silva are in attack.

With Chris Wood just ahead as the lone striker.
