Marcus Rashford is reportedly one of several Manchester United players up for sale next summer.

A report by Sky Sports says co-owner Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos team are looking to raise funds in order to reinvest in the squad and believe the 27-year-old is a player they are willing to let go.

United were understood to be willing to part ways with Rashford last summer but there were no suitors looking to sign him.

The Red Devils are unlikely to spend big in January due to a lack of funds and he sale of the forward, being an academy graduate, would represent pure profit on their balance sheet.

Rashford’s form has dramatically dropped off since a career-best 30 goals under Erik ten Hag in 2022-23, scoring just seven times in the Premier League last term.

Rashford has scored three times in five games since new manager Ruben Amorim’s arrival, operating as a central striker and as one of the two No10s behind the centre-forward.

The Portuguese has told Rashford that he must “be the first to want it” if he is to rediscover his best form at Old Trafford.

“He has to be Marcus to try to return to that moment [his 30-goal season],” said in November ahead of United’s Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt.

“Then he will have the help of all the staff, of all the club and all the fans because he is a Man Utd boy. But he has to be the first one to really want it.”

Rashford has made 425 appearances for United since making his debut in 2015m, scoring 138 goals and producing 67 assists.
