Nuno Espirito Santo was today rewarded for Nottingham Forest’s brilliant recent run by being named December’s Premier League Manager of the Month.
Forest enjoyed five victories in the month and, having followed that up with a 3-0 win at Wolves on Monday, now sit in third position, just six points behind Liverpool.
The East Midlands club were expected to be embroiled in a relegation battle this season but are now challenging for at least a top-four place and a crack at the Champions League.
Having opened December with a defeat at Manchester City, Forest overcame Manchester United, Aston Villa, Brentford, Tottenham and Everton.
They take on Luton in the FA Cup tomorrow.
