Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou labelled his side’s second-half performance “outstanding” as Spurs ran out convincing 4-1 winners against West Ham in the Premier League.

Spurs scored three times in eight minutes after the break to claim bragging rights in the London derby.

Dejan Kulusevski, Yves Bissouma, Heung-Min Son and an own goal ensured a much-improved performance and result after Spurs squandered a 2-0 lead to Brighton a fortnight ago.

And Postecoglou was quick to praise his players’ showing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Postecoglou told TNT Sports: “I thought we were good today.

“We had to work pretty hard in the first half but we got back into the game after conceding.

“Second half was outstanding from the lads. Really good energy, really good football, good goals.

“We probably could have had a couple more but, yeah, a good day at the office.”

The Spurs manager also lauded the clinical edge shown by his team in the final third of the pitch and insisted if they continue to show that side of their game, they will be a difficult team to stop.

On the returning Son, Posetcoglou added: “It was good for the skipper to come back and score as well.

“He’s a quality player and when we’ve got him out there we’re a better team.”

Player of the Match Dejan Kulusevski admitted that Tottenham’s first-half performance was not up to standard, but he also highlighted the team’s ruthlessness in front of goal.

“The first half was tough, honestly, but when I equalised I knew we were gonna win,” said Kulusevski.

“When we play good we are unbelievable, but we have to defend much better and we have to train on that more.

“The balance was not good enough in the first half, we were a little bit too offensive, so we have to look at that before the next game. I think Pape [Sarr] changed the game for us.

“When everything is clicking we can score four goals in four minutes. More of that please.”
