There were four games in the Premier League before Tottenham hosted Liverpool in the final top-flight game before Christmas on Sunday.

Chelsea knew victory at Everton would send them a point clear at the top of the table, with the Reds playing at 4.30pm GMT.

In games kicking off at the same time as the showdown at Goodison Park, Manchester United hosted Bournemouth, Wolves headed to Leicester City and Southampton travelled to Fulham.

101GreatGoals.com has you covered with all the Premier League results today, including goals, key incidents and the look of the table.

Man United vs Bournemouth: Cherries crush hosts again

Bournemouth secured their fourth win of a five-game unbeaten run in style, beating Manchester United 3-0 away for a second successive season.

Dean Huijsen headed the 30th-minute opener and Justin Kluivert scored a penalty in the 61st minute. Two minutes later, Antoine Semenyo added the third as Bournemouth rose to fifth, leaving United in 13th.

Tottenham vs Liverpool: Salah strikes twice

Liverpool lead the table by four points after an extraordinary 6-3 win at Tottenham, including two goals and two assists from Mohamed Salah, who moved two goals above Erling Haaland as the Premier League top scorer.

Luis Diaz also scored twice for the visitors, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister joining them on the scoresheet. James Maddison’s strike made it 2-1, and Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke netted for Spurs in between Liverpool’s fifth and sixth goals.

Everton vs Chelsea: Blues miss out on top spot

Everton celebrated their takeover by The Friedkin Group this week with a 0-0 draw that left Chelsea a point behind leaders Liverpool with two fewer games to play.

The visitors dominated possession but the Toffees moved four points clear of the relegation zone with a second successive goalless draw following their stalemate at Arsenal eight days earlier.

Leicester vs Wolves: Pereira off to a flyer

Vitor Pereira made a magnificent start to his Wolves tenure, with a 3-0 win at Leicester moving his side two points behind the fourth-bottom Foxes.

Goncalo Guedes, Rodrigo Gomes and Matheus Cunha scored the first-half goals and increased new Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy’s worries after his team lost 4-0 at Newcastle on December 14.

Fulham vs Southampton: Juric watches Saints

New Southampton manager Ivan Juric was in the stands to see the Saints hold ninth-placed Fulham to a 0-0 draw at Craven Cottage.

Southampton are eight points from safety, having sacked Russell Martin after their 5-0 defeat at home to Tottenham a week earlier.
