Dango Ouattara

Nottingham Forest’s eight-match unbeaten run came to an end in emphatic fashion as they were thrashed 5-0 at in-form Bournemouth this afternoon.

Andoni Iraola’s men, who won 4-1 at Newcastle last weekend, were rampant once again with Dango Ouattara grabbing a hat-trick to add to goals from Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo.

Kluivert’s 11th goal of the season set the Cherries on their way before Ouattara took centre-stage with a superb treble as Forest’s usually water-tight defence capitulated.

Semenyo rounded off a stunning afternoon for Bournemouth with a brilliant solo goal in stoppage time.

Isak inspires Newcastle to victory at Southampton

Bournemouth remain a point behind Newcastle, who piled more misery on Southampton with a 3-1 win at St Mary’s.

Saints took a surprise lead through a Jan Bednarek header but, inspired by Aleksander Isak, the visitors hit back to claim the win.

Isak won and converted a penalty for the equaliser and then fired Newcastle in front four minutes later with his 17th league goal of the season.

Sandro Tonali added a third in the second half.

Big win for Everton

Everton put some breathing space between themselves and the bottom four with a hard-fought win at Brighton.

Iliman Ndiaye scored the only goal three minutes before half-time after Joel Veltman was adjudged to have handled.

Brighton offered more attacking threat in the second half but the Toffees held on to give David Moyes victory in his 700th Premier League match as a manager.

Everton remain 16th but, crucially, they are now seven points ahead of 17th-placed Wolves.
