Marcus Rashford has held talks with a leading sports agency in a bid to push through a move away from Manchester United this month, according to reports.

As per The Sun, the 27-year-old has been in touch with Stellar, the same agency that helped facilitate  Gareth Bale’s £86million move to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

On its website, Stellar purports to ‘create the best opportunities for talent to maximize their careers and achieve their ambitions.’

Rashford is currently represented by brother Dwaine Maynard but The Sun also claim he is willing to join Stellar to help secure a move.

It has been a turbulent time for Rashford under new United boss Ruben Amorim. Prior to the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on Monday, where he was an unused substitute, Rashford had been left out of United’s squad for four games by the Portuguese manager.

It led the England forward to reveal in an interview with journalist Henry Winter in December that he was “ready for a new challenge”, prompting growing speculation over his future at Old Trafford.

But the United academy graduate insisted there would be “no hard feelings” if he does leave the Red Devils.

“You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person,” he said.

United are currently 14th in the Premier League table following a dismal run of results that has seen them lose three consecutive games without scoring.

They travel to league leaders and fierce rivals Liverpool on 5 January before a trip to Arsenal in the FA Cup third round seven days later.
