Ange Postecoglou says there is a mole at Tottenham that has leaked team news all season, and the Australian has a “fair idea” who the culprit is.
The Spurs boss revealed today that the hunt is on for someone at the club who has allegedly been passing on news of player injuries with the issue rearing its head again this week when it was revealed online that winger Wilson Odobert would miss last night’s game with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Odobert was named on the bench for the 1-1 draw against the Bundesliga side in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie but did not come on.

Ange to act
Postecolgou says the mole is compromising Spurs’ chances of success and is determined to put a stop to it.
He said: “There is no doubt we’ve got a leak inside the club. Someone continues to leak out information and they have all year. I don’t know why as it just makes our job even more difficult. It doesn’t help us as you don’t want to give the opposition a helping hand.
“We’ve narrowed it down. I’ve got a fair idea where it’s coming from. We will deal with it.
“It certainly doesn’t help us on game days. It’s sometimes half-truths and sometimes more. You’d like to think that everyone within our camp is working with us rather than against us.”
Changes will be made ahead of crunch tie in Germany
Spurs’ season hinges on the Europa League given they are 14th in the Premier League and out of the FA Cup.
They play the return in Frankfurt on Thursday night and Postecoglou admitted there would be changes to the starting XI for Sunday’s trip to Wolves.
“Not [any new injured players] from last night,” he added. “A couple of boys cramping up near the end, a couple of small knocks, a couple who will be tired, but heath wise fine.
“It was a big physical toll last night. It was always going to be a challenging game for us. It’s a big game [Sunday] and a big performance is needed so having some fresh legs will help that. Fair to make some changes.”

Next week will be tight – Postecoglou
Spurs dominated the first leg against Eintracht, hitting the woodwork twice in the second half, while Micky van de Ven was denied a last-gasp winner by a stunning save from visiting goalkeeper Kaua Santos.
Reflecting on the game, Postecoglou said: “Every away game in Europe is a challenge. Next week will be tight.
“Even in the first half [last night] we were well controlled, conceded the goal but we fought back. Second half we dominated. I don’t see any reason why it will be different [next week].
“Take the positives out of last night into next week. European games are tight in their nature so hopefully a couple of things go our way that didn’t last night.”
