Tottenham's Dominic Solanke

Tottenham will be without Dominic Solanke again this weekend when they take on Newcastle in the Premier League.

The former Bournemouth man – who signed this summer for £65million – picked up an ankle knock during the 1-1 draw with Leicester.

And Spurs will be without their back-up striker as well after Richarlison was ruled out by Ange Postecoglou during his pre-match press conference.

Speaking to the media, he said: “Dom is close but we’re going to be a bit cautious with him, we’ve got a big programme post the international break, so he’ll miss out on Sunday.

“The only other one we got midweek is Richarlison, who unfortunately picked up an injury in training, so he’ll probably miss the next few weeks.”

However, there is good news regarding Rodrigo Bentancur’s availability.

The Uruguay midfielder was taken off with a concussion against Leicester following a clash of heads and consequently missed the 4-0 win over Everton last weekend.

But the Australian head coach has given a positive update.

He added: “Rodrigo [Bentancur] is all good, he’s passed all the protocols we need to, and more importantly he feels really good and the medical team are really comfortable with him being available for Sunday.”

The team news suggests Heung-Min Son will start in the striker position once again when Spurs face Newcastle.

Tottenham’s captain flourished across the frontline against the Toffees, scoring a brace.

It also allowed for Wilson Odobert to make his debut and the ex-Burnley winger will be hoping to get the nod once again on Tyneside.
