Uruguay midfielder Manuel Ugarte will join Manchester United from PSG in a deal worth more than £42m, according to reports.
The 23-year-old – who has 22 caps for his country – only moved to the French champions a year ago after two seasons with Sporting Lisbon, with Paris triggering a release clause of around £50m.

He made an encouraging start to life at the Parc des Princes but fell out of favour with boss Luis Enrique as PSG completed the domestic treble last season, starting only 21 matches.
Despite his comparative lack of minutes, the combative defensive midfielder led the league in tackles won and is seen as the perfect fit in Erik ten Hag’s United midfield.
Reports suggest Ugarte will fly to the UK on Tuesday ahead of a medical, and the deal could rise to more than £50m with add-ons.
The deal will pave the way for the completion of Scott McTominay’s proposed £25m move to Serie A side Napoli, with United set to receive a share of any future transfer fee from the Naples side.
