Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy is looking to do business in the January transfer market.
The Foxes currently sit in the Premier League’s bottom three, two points from safety.
They opted to sack Steve Cooper after a poor start to the campaign and hire Van Nistelrooy following a successful spell as interim head coach of Manchester United.
And while results have improved in the East Midlands, there is still a lot to do in 2025 for the Dutchman and his players.
Speaking ahead of the match against Aston Villa, Van Nistelrooy said: “When I first came in I assessed the current squad and I wanted to see how it was to be working with this squad, the players and the positions.
“We are aligned with that, right from the start of our first conversation before I signed and right through the December month.
On winning moving forward 🏅
“It is vital [to get points] and we know that. Every game we plan to get results, and we will continue doing that. Going into the second half of the season, it’s clear where we are in the table and points can get us out of it.” pic.twitter.com/HI9iiNBiJk

“We are clear on looking at certain options and when the options are right for us to strengthen and help the team then we are able to do something.
“These conversations are important and the December month gave a clear view for me in what positions the team needs help and improvement.
“You can also look at injuries and how long they are out for, this is also part of where we want to strengthen but that is something we want to keep behind closed doors.”
“I am looking at my network having played in a couple of countries and more clubs. It is important to use my network in opportunities to strengthen the squad. We are looking at all possibilities to help this team reach their targets. We are looking everywhere.”
