Two non-league clubs will be involved in the third round of the 2024/25 FA Cup draw after knocking out league opposition in the second round.

Dagenham & Redbridge, who are 15th in the National League, earned a surprise 2-1 win at League Two team AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Tamworth, who are a place below the Daggers in the table, then recovered from falling behind during extra time to win 4-3 on penalties at the bottom side in League One, Burton Albion, following a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

Here’s what you need to know about following the FA Cup third round draw, including when the balls will be drawn and when the fixtures are.

When is the FA Cup draw? Time, date, venue

The draw will take place at the Old Trafford home of Manchester United at around 7pm GMT (2pm ET) on Monday, December 2.

Four-time FA Cup winner Mark Hughes and former Aston Villa hotshot Dion Dublin, who was at Manchester United when they won the trophy in 1994, will be making the draw.

FA Cup third round draw: TV channel, live stream

Fans wanting to watch on TV can tune in to BBC Two, which will be broadcasting the draw on a Match of the Day special between 7pm and 7.30pm (2pm to 2.30pm ET).

Supporters who watch online can follow the draw on the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer. Kelly Somers will be presenting the show.

Are Premier League teams in the FA Cup draw?

Yes: the 20 Premier League teams enter the draw at this stage, as well as the 24 clubs in the Championship.

Two top-flight clubs met in last season’s final, when Manchester United surprised Manchester City. The Red Devils were almost knocked out by Championship team Coventry City in the semi-finals, eventually prevailing on penalties.

When is the FA Cup third round 2025?

The ties will be played over the weekend of Saturday, January 11. Organisers the FA say the schedule will be announced “as soon as possible”.
