Wolves forward Matheus Cunha has been given an extra one-match ban and a £50,000 fine after his recent sending off at Bournemouth.

Cunha lashed out at Milos Kerkez three times and had to be escorted down the tunnel after he was sent off in the last minute of an FA Cup defeat earlier this month.

Cunha’s straight red card for violent conduct meant he was already banned for three games and will now miss a fourth, a trip to Ipswich on 5 April.

He will now be available for the visit of Tottenham on Sunday 13 April.

The fiery striker was also banned for two games in January after clashing with a member of Ipswich’s security and grabbing his glasses from his face.

Cunha is currently away with Brazil and played 30 minutes as a substitute in their 2-1 win over Colombia on Friday.
