Liverpool can capitalise on Manchester City’s dropped points and go top of the Premier League with a win against Wolves.

The Reds travel to the Midlands with fresh motivation following a good start under Arne Slot and plenty of first-team players are well-rested after the Carabao Cup exploits in midweek.

Wolves are yet to pick up a win in 2024-25 but have been unlucky in their matches under Gary O’Neil.

But Saturday evening’s test will be one of the toughest of their campaign so far.

Read on to discover the full line-ups from Molineux.

Wolves team news

The hosts will likely be relying on pace and counter-attacking football against Liverpool, which is reflected in their line-up.

Sam Johnstone is in goal, with two central defenders sitting in front of him in the form of Toti Gomes and Santiago Bueno.

Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nelson Semedo form the full-backs outside of them.

Joao Gomes, Andre and Mario Lemina will provide depth in the midfield for O’Neil’s side.

While Matheus Cunha, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Jorgen Strand Larsen lead the line.

Liverpool team news

Liverpool are only without Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez through injury, giving Slot plenty of options to choose from in this one.

Alisson returns in goal following a small injury, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson making up the defence.

Ryan Gravenberch gets a start alongside Alexis Mac Allister in midfield with Dominik Szoboszlai in a more advanced role.

Mohammed Salah starts on the right, with Luis Diaz on the left.

And Diogo Jota leads the line for the Reds.
