Rangers have sacked manager Phillippe Clement after Saturday’s loss to St Mirren.
The Glasgow giants have taken action after a torrid run of form which sees them trail Celtic by 13 points in the Scottish Premiership.
Pressure had ramped up on the Belgian manager following a shock defeat to Queen’s Park in the Scottish Park earlier this month.
A club statement said: “Rangers Football Club can confirm it has tonight parted company with men’s first-team manager, Philippe Clement.
“The club would like to put on record their sincere thanks to Philippe for his hard work and dedication during his spell in charge.
“A further update from the club will follow in due course.”

Clement, 50, was appointed in October 2023 following Michael Beale’s departure for Sunderland.
He won the Scottish League Cup early in his tenure before moving them to the top of the Premiership but they were eventually pipped to the title by Celtic after a series of defeats against their arch rivals.
This season, the Gers have lost to Celtic, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen and St Mirren, while they also missed out on the chance ot win the Scottish Cup again by losing to the Hoops in the final.
