The league leaders are back in action this weekend when they play hosts to Rennes in the French capital as Paris Saint-Germain aims to stay 10 points clear of Marseille in second place.

The biggest news coming out of the PSG camp in this one is the fact that Lionel Messi was absent from training on Friday ahead of the game and is now expected to miss out. Neymar is also sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Nevertheless, the French champions are all in on defending their Ligue 1 title this season with the club now out of the domestic cup competition and the Champions League.

In Ligue 1, they come into this one with 21 wins from 27 games and lost three times. It sees them with the second-best defensive record of 26 conceded and with the most goals scored (68).

As for Rennes, they remain in fifth and two clear of Lille coming into the weekend’s fixtures, although they have won just one of their past four games in all competitions and are out of the Europa League.
