A fresh insight into Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister’s long-touted move to Liverpool has been provided late on Friday.
And the news will come as a boost for all of a Reds persuasion hopeful of the Argentine landing at Anfield.
The name of engine room standout Mac Allister has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of Merseyside across the last couple of weeks.
This comes amid long-standing suggestions that the Argentine has been earmarked as a leading summer target on the part of the powers that be at Liverpool.
Amid plans to overhaul the club’s ailing midfield, Mac Allister – fresh off playing a starring role for Argentina en route to World Cup glory – is viewed as both a viable and potentially game-changing addition.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday evening is anything to go by, then Mac Allister’s Liverpool switch appears to be inching ever closer.
Not only that, but Liverpool could strike a deal for some way less than previously touted, too, with Romano adding that the fee involved is expected to be less than £60 million.
“I saw some reports around £60-65 million, but I’m told that is less than this.” 💷
