Spain captain Alvaro Morata appeared to suffer an injury in a bizarre on-pitch incident minutes after helping his side reach the final of Uefa Euro 2024.
Morata had joined his team-mates to celebrate in front of La Roja’s fans behind a goal when a photographer appeared to slip and clatter into the Atletico Madrid forward.

Morata injury
The mishap appeared to be part of a melee involving attempts by stewards to remove a pitch invader from the turf at Munich’s Allianz Arena.
A man in a bib was seen sliding in to the unsuspecting Morata in an apparent accident, leaving the 31-year-old wincing and clutching a knee.
Morata was shown still appearing to be in pain and speaking to Spain’s staff as he left the turf after the three-time champions’ sixth victory of the tournament.
“There’s one concern, I’m just being told,” former England forward Gary Lineker said as the scene was screened on BBC Sport.
“A photographer, we believe, slips in. [Morata] looks like he’s twisted his knee. It’s a dreadful look. Let’s hope that’s not serious – no-one would wish that on anyone.”
Spain recovered from Randal Kolo Muani’s eighth-minute opener to triumph 2-1, Lamine Yamal curling in a spectacular reply four minutes before Dani Olmo fired in the 25th-minute winner.
