Manchester United star Andre Onana has, on Saturday, responded to the early criticism being aimed in his direction.
For those who may have missed it, the name of shot-stopper Onana has taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of Manchester over the course of the last couple of hours.
This comes on the back of the summer Red Devils arrival’s first home appearance in the club’s colours.
Erik ten Hag’s troops were back in action a short time ago, welcoming Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens to Old Trafford for their latest pre-season friendly.
United, in the end, marched to a 3-1 triumph, courtesy of goals on the part of all of Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Casemiro.
It was actually Lens who opened the scoring in the clash, though, and in nothing short of spectacular fashion.

Despite Lens’ opener having come as more of a moment of individual brilliance than a goalkeeping mistake, though, as so often proves the case, Onana has since been singled out for widespread criticism online.
Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the wonder-goal directed past him was put to the Cameroonian international himself.
And Onana, to his credit, did not shy away from the criticism, assuring that he is ready to take ‘all the criticism’ and ‘all the pressure’:
Onana: “I am responsible for everything especially when we concede goals. I’m the big man at the back so I take all the criticism, all the pressure on me.” [mu] #mufc pic.twitter.com/AkP3GqTXS9
