A concerning story surrounding a key member of the attacking ranks at Manchester United has come to the fore online late on Sunday.
The player in question? Anthony Martial.
As per a report from Simon Mullock of The Mirror, hitman Martial was this week involved in a bust-up at United’s training ground.
The heated altercation is understood to have taken place between the Frenchman and youth team player Dan Gore.
This came after a robust challenge on the part of the latter left Martial, who has of course been forced to contend with a host of injury problems over recent seasons, grounded and furious.
The 26-year-old, in turn, leapt to his feet, before lashing out at Gore in an aggressive manner.
From here, peace was restored, albeit only after Erik ten Hag made clear to Gore the rules in place regarding tackles on first-team stars.
Martial, to his credit, apologised, with Gore happy to accept as much.
Dan Gore and Anthony Martial were pulled apart, with Gore told by Ten Hag and his staff that tackling first-team stars was off-limits in training games. Martial is believed to have apologised to the youngster – and Gore was happy to make the peace [@MullockSMirror] https://t.co/XbrUE8316H
