Anthony Martial will complete a move to AEK Athens later today, ending a three-month spell out of the game.

The former France striker left Manchester United at the end of last season after his contract expired and was linked with numerous clubs in the Middle East, as well as Brazilian giants Flamengo.

But he has settled on Greece with AEK reportedly set to give him a three-year deal.

Martial will fly into Athens later today and is guaranteed a warm welcome after the club posted details of his arrival time on X.

The 28-year-old spent nine years at Old Trafford after joining from Monaco in 2015 but failed to justify his reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in Europe.

He got off to a great start with a memorable solo goal against Liverpool on his debut but left having scored 90 goals in 317 appearances.
