A telling update on the future of Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has surfaced online late on Sunday evening.

Ongoings on the Lilywhite half of north London, of course, have take their place front and centre in the headlines over the last 24 hours.

This comes after boss Conte embarked on the most remarkable of rants, on the back of his side’s latest spectacular on-pitch collapse.

After surging into a two-goal advantage late in a Premier League meeting with Southampton on Saturday, Spurs were ultimately forced to settle for a share of the spoils, owing to a 3-3 stalemate.

Conte, in turn, tore into all of his players, Joe Lewis, and Tottenham as a club, in a tirade for the ages:

Chatter, in turn, has since inevitably spread, pointing towards a likely imminent exit for the Italian from England’s capital.

Late on Sunday, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of word beginning to surface that sections of the crop of players whom the tactician publicly shamed yesterday would be happy to see the back of Conte.

As per a report from David Hytner of The Guardian:

‘Tottenham’s players believe that Antonio Conte is “going or gone”, according to a dressing-room source, with their only question about the manager’s future concerning the timing of his departure.’

It is understood that a number of Spurs’ stars would gladly ‘welcome’ news of their manager being dismissed with immediate effect, three months out from the completion of his contract.

This comes amid ‘serious doubts’ on the part of the powers that be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that the situation can be salvaged, with ten games of the Premier League season to play.
