Premier League title-chasers Arsenal are set to make their return to Europe’s premier club competition with Mikel Arteta unveiling his 25-man squad with which he is set to take on the continent this season in the Champions League.
The squad, which was posted on the club’s official website, includes one or two shock inclusions while those expected to be in attendance have all been given the nod by Arteta.

Further details surrounding squad selection were also included (as listed via Arsenal.com):
As per UEFA regulations, List A is made up of a maximum of 25 players, two of whom must be goalkeepers, and eight must be ‘locally trained players’. These are:
- Club-trained players who were on a club’s books for three entire seasons or 36 months between the ages of 15 and 21
- Association-trained players who were on another club’s books in the same association for three entire seasons or 36 months between the ages of 15 and 21
If a club has fewer than eight locally trained players in their squad, then the maximum number of players on List A is reduced accordingly.
Changes to List A can only be made before the round of 16 in February 2024, when clubs can register a maximum of three new players, such as new signings or previously injured players, but the overall limit of 25 players remains.
