Arsenal have been handed a major boost as it has emerged that the club are ‘ready to announce’ that they have agreed a new deal with star man Bukayo Saka, which will see the talented 21-year-old net close to £300,000 per week inclusive of bonuses.
Saka has become a star man for both club and country across the last two years, starting each of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season and both of the EURO2024 qualifiers that England have played in the most recent international break.
He is enjoying his best season to date, hitting double figures for both goals (12) and assists (10) in the top flight, and powering Arsenal to top spot in the Premier League as they look to win their first league title since 2004.
And, though all sides of the table were considered to be ‘optimistic’ over a new deal for the 21-year-old at the Emirates, there was an underlying fear among Arsenal fans that he could be tempted away from the club by the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
As per the Daily Mail, however, ‘Saka had agreed in principle a new long-term deal’ to stay at his boyhood club, and will be handsomely rewarded for doing so.
His new deal, it is added, ‘inclusive of bonuses and other attached payments – is closer to £15m, taking his weekly wage to around £300,000-per-week’, a massive step up on his current salary.
