The player in question is Emile Smith Rowe, who has fallen out of favour in recent months.
At the start of Mikel Arteta’s reign, Smith Rowe was brought in and played a crucial role in helping turn Arsenal’s fortunes around in 2020/21.
However, this past season saw the 22-year-old notch just 161 minutes of league action across 12 outings.
This led to speculation over Smith Rowe’s future in north London.
Now though, The Athletic have reported that Arsenal have no intention of selling the midfielder, whilst Dean Jones has also shared an update on the Hale End graduate.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Dean Jones said: “Smith Rowe’s been working on his game with Arteta. He’s a really good learner I’m told, and he’s got very adaptable in terms of what Arteta would like from him going forward.
Should Granit Xhaka leave the club, ESR could be used as an option in his no.8 role going forward.
