Arsenal face the biggest test of their season so far, and risk losing top spot in the Premier League in the process, when they welcome defending Champions Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Victory for Mikel Arteta’s side would move them six points clear atop the Premier League, with a game in hand over both Manchester City and Manchester United, with the Red Devils just a further two points adrift of the Cityzens.

However, defeat would see them slip to second place for the first time since the World Cup break ended, with Pep Guardiola’s side boasting a superior goal difference to the Gunners, and could also even let the Red Devils back into the title race, though they would still have played a game more than Arteta’s side.

However, winger Reiss Nelson was back among the substitutes for the clash with Brentford on Saturday in a boost to the Arsenal attacking options, while Leandro Trossard came off the bench to grab his first goal for the club over the weekend.
