The agent of on-loan Liverpool star Arthur Melo has, on Saturday, provided an insight into his client’s future with the club.
Brazilian international Arthur, of course, made the move to Anfield during the summer, departing Italian heavyweights Juventus after falling heavily down the pecking order of boss Massimiliano Allegri.
The 26-year-old’s Liverpool switch came with Jurgen Klopp’s squad sorely lacking in depth in the middle of the park.
And yet, to this point, Arthur’s time on Merseyside has proven nothing short of a disaster.
After struggling for game-time over the early weeks of his Reds stint, the former Barcelona man was then ruled out long-term, owing to what was described as a ‘serious’ calf injury picked up in training back in October.

Murmurs, in turn, had even begun to circulate that Arthur’s loan could be cut short, to allow for further space in Klopp’s squad following the turn of the year.
Speaking during an interview with Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Fedrico Pastorello, Arthur’s agent, was drawn on his client’s future.
And Pastorello first went on to confirm that the Brazilian is set to remain at Anfield through the close of the campaign, before too hinting at the possibility of the terms of his loan being renewed:
#Arthur Melo will stay at #Liverpool at 100% in January as announced by his agent Federico #Pastorello to Tmw: “If #Allegri also stays at #Juve next season, we’ll have to find a solution. If #LFC wanted to renew the loan or make a bid, they would find fertile ground”. #transfers
