Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath band-mate Geezer Butler helped promote Aston Villa’s new home shirt that was launched this morning.
The heavy metal legends featured in a video on X – as well as providing the soundtrack with the track Paranoid – that also included former Villa player Gabby Agbonlahor as well as current stars Emi Martinez and John McGinn.
The shirt is made by adidas and is in the club’s traditional claret and blue. It also features a special ‘AV150’ symbol to mark the club’s 150th anniversary.
Instant classic.

Chris Heck, president of business at Aston Villa, said: “We are immensely proud to unveil our new playing kit which marks the start of not only a landmark partnership with one of the world’s most recognisable sports brands but an historic year for our football club.
“The new jerseys feature the latest adidas technology and have been developed in close collaboration with Aston Villa’s men’s and women’s teams.”
Villa had a wonderful season under Unai Emery in 2023-24, finishing fourth in the Premier League, and will play in the Champions League next term.
