La Liga giants Barcelona have kicked negotiations with their counterparts at Manchester City back into gear, over the signing of an out-of-favour member of Pep Guardiola’s squad.
The Sky Blues star in question? Joao Cancelo.
Cancelo, of course, spent the 2nd half of this past season out on loan.
After being deemed surplus to requirements by Pep Guardiola, the Portuguese international made a surprise move to Germany, to link up with Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich.
With the board at the Allianz Arena having since failed to commit to making his arrival permanent, however, the future of the 29-year-old has been thrown firmly back up in the air.

With City ready to sanction another departure, the door, in turn, has been opened to any and all other suitors.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Understand Barcelona have reactivated contacts for João Cancelo deal — with both Manchester City and his camp’.
Blaugrana boss Xavi is understood to have identified Portuguese international Cancelo as a ‘priority’ target, amid ongoing efforts to add to his options at full-back.
Negotiations between the parties, in turn, are set to continue over the days ahead.
