Spanish giants Barcelona are preparing a summer move for an on-loan member of the first-team setup at Premier League champions Manchester City, according to reports.
The player in question? Joao Cancelo.
The name of versatile full-back Cancelo, of course, took its place front and centre in the headlines during the January transfer window.
This came upon the powers that be at the aforementioned Man City springing a major surprise, in allowing the gifted Portuguese to depart on loan.
German heavyweights Bayern Munich, in turn, took full advantage of the situation, bringing Cancelo in for the 2nd-half of the campaign.

After falling out-of-favour in Manchester, however, the 28-year-old endured something of a hit-and-miss stint in Bavaria, too.
In turn, it has already been widely reported in Germany that the Bayern hierarchy have no intention of making the talented defender’s arrival permanent.
And, as alluded to above, this could, in turn, open the door for yet another of European football’s heavyweights to enter the fray.
As per a report from Spanish outlet Diario Sport, La Liga table-toppers Barcelona have set their sights on Cancelo ahead of the summer transfer window.
In fact, it is claimed that the Blaugrana have gone as far as to contact agent Jorge Mendes, in an early attempt to broker a loan deal with their counterparts at The Etihad.
Barca have asked Jorge Mendes to try to bring Joao Cancelo to the club on loan.
