On the back of the action coming to a close at the Metropolitano on Sunday, though, it is not the name of match-winner Dembele which has taken its place front and centre in the headlines.
This comes after the Uruguayan enjoyed another stellar outing, including a result-saving goal-line clearance deep into injury time.
The Barcelona faithful, in turn, have flooded to social media, to make the collective claim that Araujo stands alone as the ‘best defender in the world’:
