Supporters of Spanish giants Real Madrid have taken to social media in numbers on Saturday evening, to lavish praise on youngster Eduardo Camavinga.

Real, and Camavinga, were of course back in action a short time ago.

Amid ongoing efforts to hunt down Clasico rivals Barcelona at the La Liga summit, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops welcomed Celta Vigo to the Santiago Bernabeu, eyeing a 2nd victory on the spin.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what Los Blancos went on to manage.

Owing to goals on the part of Marco Asensio and Eder Militao, Real ultimately emerged on the right side of a comfortable 2-0 scoreline.

As alluded to above, though, it was not Real’s difference-makers on the scoresheet who took their place centre stage in the post-match chatter amongst the club’s fanbase.

Afforded his latest starting berth against Celta, Camavinga enjoyed a scintillating outing, shining on both sides of the ball from his berth at left-back.

And such excellence has since given rise to widespread claims that the French international has now firmly established himself as world football’s best, across a whole host of positions and categories:
