A remarkable statistic, simultaneously highlighting the recent excellence of Manchester United frontman Marcus Rashford, and the woes of Graham Potter’s Chelsea, has come to the fore late on Thursday evening.
England international Rashford, of course, grabbed the headlines once more a short time ago.
This came amid the headline fixture of the Europa League gameweek.
En route to a pulsating 2-2 stalemate between Manchester United and Barcelona, the former’s top scorer kept his scintillating recent form alive, in dragging United level early in the 2nd-half.

Rashford, in the process, took his tally to 22 goals for the season, a joint-high across his career to date.
And, as alluded to above, such excellence in the final third has since given rise to the most head-turning of statistics.
Graham Potter’s Blues were of course back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons yet again on Wednesday, after being condemned to a Champions League defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund.
In turn, it has been revealed that, since all the way back on November 10th, Rashford, individually, has racked up three times as many goals as Chelsea as a collective:
Since 10 November, Marcus Rashford has scored 18 goals. In that same time, Chelsea have scored 6 goals.
