Bournemouth Team News

  • Out: Ryan Fredericks, Junior Stanislas, Jack Stephens (cannot be selected)
  • Doubt: Hamed Traorè

Gary O’Neil’s tenure at Bournemouth has come on strong in recent weeks, with the Cherries banking three wins in their last six outings on their way to currently sitting five points clear of relegation. Recent wins against Tottenham and Fulham have shown what they are capable of after bringing in key reinforcements during the January transfer window, particularly Dango Ouattara, who has come on strong under O’Neil and has immediately found his footing at Vitality Stadium.

There perhaps has been no better time than to clash with south coast rivals Southampton, who remain bottom of the table, with the Cherries having a real chance to compound the unfortunate situation at St. Mary’s while doing their own chances a world of good. Ryan Fredricks and Junior Stanislas both remain unavailable due to injury, while O’Neil will be sweating over the fitness of winger Hamed Traorè, who is a doubt for selection in his own right. Jack Stephens will be unable to feature against his parent club, but few if any change are expected.
