A fresh insight into the future of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has come to the fore late on Thursday.
Ancelotti, of course, is currently enjoying his 2nd stint in the Santiago Bernabeu dugout.
And what a spell it has proven to date.
Since being reappointed in the summer of 2021, the iconic Italian has racked up a La Liga title, Spanish Super Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Not only that, but further silverware looks likely in Spain’s capital come this season’s close, with Real still in the running for a Champions League and Copa del Rey double.

And yet, despite as much, speculation continues to circulate in the media that Ancelotti will be on the move in the summer.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Ancelotti’s potential arrival was put to the aforementioned Ednaldo Rodrigues.
And the Brazil chief went on to confirm that he and his colleagues have indeed set their sights firmly on the Italian:
“I’m not saying Ancelotti has an offer from us, but we are checking if he wants to come.
“We’ve a plan A and I say it for the first time honestly. There is no point in hiding this, Ancelotti is our favorite.”
