Leicester City head coach Brendan Rodgers has, late on Saturday, confirmed a fresh blow amongst the club’s personnel ranks.
The Foxes star in line for an upcoming spell on the sidelines? Wilfred Ndidi.
Leicester, of course, were back in action earlier today, eyeing a bounce-back result in a showdown with Premier League high-flyers Brighton & Hove Albion.
And though, when all was said and done, they didn’t quite manage a return to winning ways, Rodgers’ troops did emerge with a credible share of the spoils, owing to a 2-2 stalemate.
One important member of the hosts’ first-team setup to have played no part at the King Power on Saturday, however, comes in the form of the aforementioned Wilfred Ndidi.
Midfield general Ndidi, was a late scratch from Leicester’s matchday setup this afternoon, joining James Maddison in missing out against Brighton.
And the Northern Irishman went on to reveal that Ndidi has picked up a fitness problem.
After pulling up with a muscular concern in training, the Nigerian is, in turn, expected to be out for ‘a couple of weeks’:
BR confirms the absence of Wilfred Ndidi was due to injury. ‘He’ll be out for a couple of weeks. He felt a slight muscle strain in training but didn’t feel a problem and carried on. It was only the next morning that he felt it was tight.’ Pérez ‘should be back’ next week. #LCFC
