An in-demand member of the attacking ranks at Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion is ready to reject widespread interest in his signature, in favour of committing his future to his current employers.
The Seagulls star in question? Evan Ferguson.
The name of Republic of Ireland international Ferguson has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines at the Amex Stadium across the season to date.
This comes as the 18-year-old, despite his tender years, goes about proving himself as one of the finest up-and-coming talents in English football.
All told, in 20 appearances across all competitions this season, Ferguson has racked up eight goals and three assists, good enough for a direct goal contribution every 72 minutes.

With such impressive production, though, comes inevitable outside interest.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Thursday is anything to go by, then the Brighton faithful need not fret.
As per a report from The Independent, Manchester United would be keen to get their hands on the gifted young frontman this summer, having emerged as keen admirers of his talents over the course of the season to date.
Ferguson, however, is understood to be ready to rebuff any and all interest in his services, to instead put pen to paper on fresh terms with Brighton.
🚨 Manchester United are big admirers of Evan Ferguson and would be keen to sign the Irishman if he were to make a move this summer.
However, he’s expected to commit his future to Brighton, who might not even entertain an offer of over €40m.
