New Brighton manager and former Unione Sportiva Sassuolo Calcio tactician Roberto De Zerbi has not enjoyed his new surroundings since his arrival on England’s south coast at the American Express Community Stadium after being greeted with a very difficult set of fixtures in which he has attempted to plant roots at his new employer.
The Seagulls are 0-2-3 in their last five league outings, and though they managed a credible 3-3 draw against Liverpool in his managerial debut at Anfield that saw Leandro Trossard become the first Brighton player to ever score a Premier League hat trick, that was immediately met with a 1-0 home loss against Tottenham, a 2-0 loss away at Brentford, a frustrating 0-0 affair against bottom-dwelling Nottingham Forest, and then a 3-1 defeat against holders Manchester City.
With Brighton now out of the European places and their Italian manager looking for his first win on English soil, 101GreatGoals takes a look at the Seagulls’ team news.

Jakub Moder remains a long-term absentee for Brighton while Levi Colwill is also unavailable due to his loan agreement making him unavailable to feature against his parent club.
Lastly, Dutch defender Joël Veltman is a doubt after coming off injured against Manchester City and is also not expected to feature here, but Adam Lallana could retain his place in the XI after De Zerbi confirmed he is okay and available.
