An update on the wellbeing of Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes has been forthcoming late on Friday evening.
Midfielder Guimaraes, of course, set pulses racing across the Newcastle fanbase last weekend.
This came upon the Brazilian international, en route to a hard-fought Premier League downing of Fulham, being forced into a premature departure from the action.
After pulling up with an ankle problem shortly before the interval, the former Olympique Lyonnais talent failed to emerge for the 2nd-half.
Eddie Howe’s post-match comments, meanwhile, only served to further reinforce the concerns of the Magpies faithful, amid claims in the media that Guimaraes may be in line for a prolonged spell on the sidelines:
“It was a twist. He felt we could carry on until right at the end of the first half when he signalled to come off. Never, never a good sign.
The latest on Bruno Guimaraes’ injury, with Eddie Howe’s post-game explanation.
No clarity yet, but it doesn’t sound great.
Would be a big blow to #NUFC if he is out for an extended period. Howe admitted he probably should have withdrawn him sooner. https://t.co/FYPown9YFx

And now, as alluded to above, a fresh update on the situation has been forthcoming online.
In a major boost for all associated with the club, though, it has been revealed that, in fact, Guimaraes has enjoyed a full recovery across the week to date.
He will, in turn, be available for selection to boss Howe on Saturday, when Newcastle make the trip to Selhurst Park for a Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace.
