Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes has taken to social media on Sunday night, to send a message to the Magpies faithful.
Eddie Howe’s troops, of course, are fresh off an evening to forget.
This came as the Geordie giants made the trip to Wembley, to contest the finale of the League Cup with in-form Manchester United.
When all was said and done in the capital showpiece, it was the latter who emerged deserved victors, owing to Casemiro’s first-half opener, and ensuing Sven Botman own goal shortly before the interval.

After seeing a potentially historic first title amid the new regime on Tyneside slip through their fingers, it therefore came as little surprise when, post-match, a host of Newcastle’s stars were left looking altogether dejected on the Wembley pitch.
One such player came in the form of Bruno Guimaraes, who was spotted in tears after seeing his side’s commendable efforts come up short.
Taking to his official Twitter account, the Brazilian international reached out to the Magpies fanbase, to deliver the following heartfelt message:
‘Healing our wounds and moving forward in search of the top. For NUFC. For the fans
‘I’m proud, but not happy. Because I’ll never accept the defeat.’
