Arsenal and Villa faced off on Saturday with the Gunners coming from behind twice to win 4-2 and regain their place at the Premier League summit.

However, despite scoring a stunning goal on the day, Saka was in some pain when facing Unai Emery’s side.

Just after half-time in Arsenal’s clash with Aston Villa, Saka fell to the ground off the ball. Arsenal physios immediately ran over to assist and it was clear to see he was in significant discomfort holding his ankle.

The cause of his problem had been prominent for much of the game as Saka was hauled to the ground by Alex Moreno with a nasty kick to the lower portion of his leg. At the time he was able to run it off but the issue began bothering him later in the match and left him in need of treatment.

This left many an Arsenal fan sweating over their star’s fitness ahead of a crucial period of the season.

However, Mikel Arteta has since revealed that Saka is fine and he had just been kicked a lot:

Arsenal’s next outing is away to Leicester City on Saturday.
