Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has, on Tuesday, provided his response to recent comments on the part of manager Mikel Arteta, regarding the winger’s future at the club.
For those not aware, the comments in question were forthcoming earlier this month.
Ahead of his side’s 3-0 drubbing of Bournemouth, Arteta was drawn on the subject of ongoing efforts to tie Saka down to a new long-term contract.
And the Spanish tactician was not at all shy in revealing his ‘confidence’ with the chances of as much imminently bearing fruit, in responding:
“I am very confident that we as a club, Bukayo and his family and agent are all aligned.”
“Now it’s about putting that on a piece of paper.
During his own exchange with the media on Tuesday night, Saka himself, in turn, was asked whether or not he shares the same viewpoint as his boss at this moment in time.
And the 20-year-old’s response will no doubt spark celebrations across the red half of north London.
“Yes, I share his confidence,” Saka simply assured.
