Tottenham will host Manchester City in the headline act for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The Premier League champions and North London outfit met in the same round of the FA Cup last season and will do battle again in England’s other domestic competition this term.

City boss Pep Guardiola said after his side’s 2-1 win over Watford on Tuesday that he will only be playing the second team in the competition this season, giving Spurs fans slightly more hope that they can progress.

But it will still be a tough task for Ange Postecoglou’s men, who have struggled against top 10 opposition since the Australian took over.

Elsewhere, Liverpool, fresh off their 5-1 win against West Ham, will travel to Brighton and Arsenal face an away trip to lower league Preston.

Either Wimbledon or Newcastle will host Chelsea and Manchester United will take on Leicester at Old Trafford.

Aston Villa will get to play in front of a home crowd following their trip to Wycombe when they host Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, Brentford and Southampton will both take on Championship opponents in the form of Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke.

The fourth round is due to be played on the week commencing 28th October.

As with any other matches in the competition, should the scores be level at the end of regulation time, the match will go straight to penalties.
