The Carabao Cup third round draw included plenty of mouthwatering ties as the last 16 sides were drawn against each other, with four non-Premier League sides guaranteed to be in the last 8 and 7 all Premier League ties.

Chelsea were handed the toughest ask, being drawn away to Premier League Champions Manchester City, while Tottenham face a trip to Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United and Arsenal were both handed tricky home ties, against Aston Villa and Brighton respectively, while Liverpool were the only of the top 6 sides to avoid Premier League opposition, being drawn against League One Derby County.

The scalp of the tournament thus far undoubtedly belongs to League Two Crawley Town, who knocked out Premier League Fulham courtesy of a 2-0 scoreline. They have been rewarded for their upset with a clash against Vincent Kompany’s high-flying Burnley.

Meanwhile, Championship Watford were knocked out by MK Dons, who have in turn been handed a tie with Morecambe, and will be feeling confident of continuing their cup journey.
