Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has, on Saturday, provided updates on the wellbeing of two key members of his squad.
Real, of course, were back in action a short time ago.
After making short work of Premier League giants Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the clubs in midweek, Los Blancos turned their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, making the trip to Cadiz for a La Liga clash.
And, when all was said and done at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops emerged comfortable victors, courtesy of 2nd-half goals on the part of Nacho and Marco Asensio.

Two high-profile members of Real’s ranks, however, as alluded to above, played no part on Saturday night.
The pair in question? Vinicius Jr. and Toni Kroos.
This of course comes with Los Merengues just days out from the return leg of their tie with the aforementioned Chelsea.
The club’s headmaster, though, was keen to quell any and all fears, in confirming that Vinicius and Kroos ‘will play’ at Stamford Bridge, after missing out versus Cadiz owing to little more than ‘discomfort’.
🎙| Ancelotti: “Vinicius and Kroos could not play tonight because they had discomforts but they will train tomorrow and will play vs Chelsea.”
