Supporters of West Ham United have flooded to social media on Thursday evening, to single one member of the club’s first-team squad out for widespread adulation.
This, of course, comes with the Irons currently locked in action.
After clinching a crucial victory over London rivals Fulham in the Premier League at the weekend, David Moyes’ troops have turned their attentions towards matters on the European front, making the trip to Belgium for a Europa Conference League quarter-final first-leg showdown with Gent.
And, as things stand at the The Ghelamco Arena, West Ham are on their way towards a 2nd successive win across all competitions.
This comes owing to a solitary Danny Ings strike on the stroke of the interval.

On the back of the Hammers’ opener, however, it is not goalscorer Ings who has seen his name take its place front and centre in the chatter online.
After essentially creating his side’s first of the evening by way of some quick thinking from a throw-in, right-back Coufal has been singled out as, by some distance, West Ham’s standout performer in Gent:
Coufal is carrying this team atm. Shocking performance so far from the rest of them #westham #ConferenceLeague

Vladimir Coufal is slowly getting back to his best. At one point this season it was debatable who was West Ham’s best right-back. But now without question it’s definitely Coufal. #WHUFC
