The long-awaited draw for the group stage of the 2023/24 Champions League took place a short time ago.

In turn, Europe’s best discovered the initial challenges which they will be forced to overcome, to advance to the knockout stages of the continent’s elite club competition.

Focusing first on the Premier League, Newcastle United will be the one club cursing their luck, having been drawn in the annual group of death, alongside all of Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan.

The trio of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United, on the other hand, will fancy their chances of advancing.

Elsewhere, competition specialists Real Madrid join Italian champions Napoli in Group C, alongside SC Braga, and Union Berlin.

Clasico rivals Barcelona, meanwhile, will take on Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Royal Antwerp.

And last up comes last season’s surprise finalists, Inter Milan, who will be confident in a 2nd successive Last-16 berth, paired with Benfica, RB Salzburg, and Real Sociedad.
