Premier League giants Chelsea have, at long last, sewn up a deal to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s next head coach.
The name of Argentine tactician Pochettino has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in west London over the course of recent weeks.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the former Tottenham Hotspur headmaster had been identified as the first-choice managerial target on the part of the powers that be at Chelsea.
Amid another tumultuous season at Stamford Bridge, culminating in not one, but two managers being sent on their way, Todd Boehly and co. have long been on the lookout for the kind of profile capable of leading forward the big-money project being overseen by the club’s new owner.

And, evidently, the aforementioned Pochettino has been identified as precisely that man.
As confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
The terms of a long-term contract are understood to have been definitively agreed upon between both parties, with pen, in turn, set to be put to paper imminently.
Pochettino will then take over from interim Blues boss Frank Lampard upon the close of the campaign.
