Premier League giants Chelsea have, on Sunday, confirmed the latest up-and-coming addition to the club’s ranks.
The player in question? Angelo Gabriel.
The name of youngster Gabriel has of course taken its place centre stage in the media chatter in west London across the week to date.
This comes after word was forthcoming that an agreement had been struck between the respective boards at Chelsea and Santos, for the former to bring the 18-year-old to England with a view to the new season.
In turn, late on Sunday, it has come as little surprise to see official confirmation of the transfer arriving online.
As per a post across the Blues’ website and social media platforms:

An insight into some of the finer details of the deal, meanwhile, have since been forthcoming, too.
The info comes courtesy of transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed that Chelsea have forked out a not-inconsiderable €15 million to bring in Gabriel.
This comes after the gifted attacker put pen to paper on a ‘long-term deal’ at Stamford Bridge earlier this week.
Gabriel is now expected to link up with Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for their pre-season tour of the United States of America.
After this, he will be farmed out on loan for the season ahead, with RC Strasbourg one potential landing spot, on the back of Chelsea’s recent purchase of the Ligue 1 club.
